Reel Mermaid is a topdown fishing simulator/adventure game. You play as Kephos, or “Larry”.  His home, the ocean, is getting polluted making it hard to live. For revenge, (and for money), he starts fishing the humans. He uses the “HumanDex” filled with information about different kinds of humans to help him. Along the way he meets different kinds of creatures and goes on quests to help other ocean creatures.
