GMG is committed to ensuring your child has a safe environment to learn and play this summer at our in-person camps.
To ensure the safety of both children and staff, GMG will observe relevant CDC and state guidance as practiced at local schools.
We will also follow state guidelines closely over the coming weeks and during Camp dates to ensure compliance with regulations and safety requirements at Camp.
Please note, our host sites (Crystal Dynamics, HNA) reserve the right to enforce their own COVID-19 protocols that supersede GMG’s policies. Any updates to these protocols will be communicated with families the week before camp starts.
I. GMG COVID-19 Protocol
Masks:
Masks are optional to wear for campers + staff
During Speaker Sessions, masks maybe required upon the request of speakers in the Camp classroom
Extra masks will be available from GMG and Venue Staff if needed
Vaccinations
Camper vaccinations are encouraged but not required
Unvaccinated campers must send proof of negative covid test to the Camp Coordinator before each Monday of Camp (July 10, 17, 24)
Unvaccinated campers need to wear a mask at ALL times.
Girls Make Games will verify vaccination for ALL campers BEFORE Camp starts
Girls Make Games will require + verify negative covid tests where applicable — see GMG COVID-19 Policy below
All Staff are required to be vaccinated

GMG highly recommends regular testing to ensure peace of mind + safety at camp:

Note: Regardless of vaccination status, all campers and staff at CD, NoA, and Silicon Labs locations will adhere to the COVID-19 policy listed below.
II. GMG COVID-19 Policy
GMG is committed to ensuring your child has a safe environment to learn and play this summer. To ensure the safety of both children and staff, GMG follows relevant CDC and state guidance and has confirmed the following guidelines with a local school in WA:
SYMPTOMS: If your child display any of the following symptoms of COVID-19:
Fever (≥100.4°F) or chills
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Muscle or body aches
New loss of taste or smell
Cough (new, changed, or worsening)
Please keep them home, and report absence to the GMG Camp coordinator.
If COVID-19 symptoms last longer than 24 hours, a negative COVID test will be required before returning to camp.
EXPOSURE:
If your child has had a close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, they may still attend camp IF symptom free and fully vaccinated. Any unvaccinated campers will need to provide a negative COVID test before returning to camp.
A COVID test is recommended 5-7 days following their last known exposure. If your child has as symptoms of COVID-19, please refer to the information above regarding symptoms.
TESTING POSITIVE:
If your child has tested positive for COVID-19, please keep them home and report absence to the GMG Camp Coordinator. Your child may return after 5 days in isolation with a negative COVID test**, or after 10 days in isolation (date of original test or symptom onset is Day 0, count 6 or 11 days from this date).
** Proof of negative test must be submitted prior to returning to camp**GMG reserves the right to to remove campers or staff from premise in case of a COVID-19 positive result
THE COVID-19 POLICY ABOVE APPLIES TO ALL GMG STAFF AS WELL.
NOTE: Participants that experience longer absences due to illness (COVID or otherwise) are welcome to return to camp pending proof of recovery (proof for in-person only).

III. Refund policy
GMG does not offer refunds in case of partial tuition due to illness.
If camp is canceled due to a COVID-19 outbreak or other state governed guidelines, we will refund all participants.
